Entrance Monitor - Trial Run
For January 28 (9:10 am - 12:00 pm)
Dear Japanese Language School Guardian,
Happy New Year - 2017 !

The Japanese Language School (JLS) Board thanks you very much for your ongoing understanding
and support for improving the safety and security of the JLS - including the new ID Card for visitor
In addition, the School Board has been preparing the implementation of an Entrance Monitor and associated Check-in Procedure to go along with the ID Card.  As such, we would like to conduct
a trial run on January 28th to better understand and possibly improve the procedures before they
are finalized.  Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated.

Trial Run Details

On Saturday, January 28th, the front doors will be locked from 9:10 am to 12:00 pm.
There will be an Entrance Monitor, Mr. Joseph Depace, working in the main entrance area
checking in visitors to the facility.  Mr. Depace works for the Medford High School during
weekdays and is familiar with the security system currently being used.

Entrances asides from the main entrance will not be allowed and should not be used.
Check-in Procedures
  • When the front doors are locked, press the intercom buzzer next to the doors and show your JLS ID to the camera.  The Entrance Monitor will confirm the JLS ID and open the door, allowing entry.  The Monitor may ask for your ID once more upon entering the facility. Please make your JLS ID visible at all times.
  • If you have forgotten your JLS ID or do not have one (ie. visiting the Library) press the intercom buzzer and show some form of government-issued identification (driver’s license, passport, etc) to the Entrance Monitor.
The Monitor will scan the ID and issue a Visitor Badge/Label to you.
Please make your Visitor Badge visible at all times while on school premises.
Please return the Visitor Badge to the Entrance Monitor when leaving.
