Thank you very much for supporting the Entrance Monitor Trial Run on January 28. We had a very successful trial run and received many valuable suggestions from parents and guardians. It would be impossible to have a perfect solution to our current situation, but we are confident this new system will improve our school security during our school hours with your continued support.

Entrance Monitor Details

The front doors will be locked from 9:10 am to 12:00 pm.

There will be an Entrance Monitor, Mr. Joseph Depace, working in the main entrance area checking in visitors to the facility. Mr. Depace works for the Medford High School during weekdays and is familiar with the security system currently being used.

Entrances asides from the main entrance will not be allowed and should not be used.

Check-in Procedures

When the front doors are locked, press the intercom buzzer next to the doors and show your JLS ID to the camera. The Entrance Monitor will confirm the JLS ID and open the door, allowing entry. The Monitor may ask for your ID once more upon entering the facility. Please make your JLS ID visible at all times.

If you have forgotten your JLS ID or do not have one (ie. visiting the Library)

Press the intercom buzzer and show some form of government-issued identification
(driver’s license, passport, etc) to the Entrance Monitor.
The Monitor will scan the ID and issue a Visitor Badge/Label to you.
Please make your Visitor Badge visible at all times while on school premises.
Please return the Visitor Badge to the Entrance Monitor when leaving.
