This contest is for children in grades 1 through 11 and JLD (Nihongo-bu) only. One entry can be submitted per person. Poster papers (11” x 17”) are available in front of the 1st Floor Cafeteria on 16th and 23rd.

Entries must have messages in writing for JLS students to actively speak Japanese at school. Any color and medium can be used. Any 11” x 17” papers can be used also. Be sure to write a student's name, grade, and classroom on the back of the paper.

Judging criteria
  • Using the right paper size (11” x 17”)
  • Efforts, Creativity
  • The effectiveness of the message
  • Participation Award will be awarded to all participants.
  • Saiyuushuu-sho (first place) will be awarded to one entry.
  • Yuushuu-sho (second place) will be awarded to entries qualified for Yuushuu-sho.

Entries will be judged by the school board members. Last year’s winners here.
Registration and exhibit details are the same as the Summer Contest 2018.

*Registration and drop off: Saturday Sep. 1, 2018, 8:30am-9:15am @ 3F Cafeteria

*Please write “Grade, Classroom, Student Name” on the back of the poster.

*Please fill in the label provided at the time of submission, and paste it on the poster.
