Almost one month has passed since the start of the new school year.  Given the circumstances, there were some initial uncertainties early in April.

However, the Japanese Language School has so far tried our best to adjust and accommodate the curricula using the online tools currently available to us.  While we were hoping to open up the school by early May, it is no longer the case.  With the closure covering the entire 1st semester, we will continue to review our situation and proceed accordingly.

It is a very taxing lifestyle to refrain from leaving the house unless for essential purposes.  Perhaps even more for the children who want to be free and active outside.  In Japan, a variety of stress-relieving activities are being shown on television, such as cooking, exercising, origami folding and doing assorted crafts.  Finding something that would be a perfect match may be a challenge, but I hope that both adults and children will be able to overcome these difficult times.

We greatly appreciate the cooperation of all the guardians.  The current situation may be around for some more time.  We at the Japanese Language School will continue to strive to offer the best educational environment possible.

We ask for your continued support.

 Mitsuo Hisamoto

 Vice Principal
