NO PEANUTS/NUTS & PEANUT/NUT PRODUCTS

The Japanese Language School of Greater Boston follows the policy and guidelines established by the school steering committee for Life-Threatening Food Allergies to ensure children’s safety and healthy life at school. Please read the following guidelines carefully.

1. PEANUT/ NUT-FREE 
(Prohibition of peanuts/nuts & peanut/nut products)
- Kindergarten: Do not bring peanuts/nuts or peanut/nut products for SNACK TIME
- Grades 1 through 6 & Japanese Language Division: Do not bring peanuts/nuts or peanut/nut products for LUNCH when the school has an afternoon session
- If peanuts/nuts or peanut/nut products were brought to school by mistake, they would be sent back home as they are.

2. NO SHARING / NO TRADING
- Sharing or trading food during SNACK TIME and LUNCH is prohibited to avoid accidents related to Life-Threatening Allergies. 
Attention: Please explain to your child the importance of this rule.

3. PEANUT/ NUT-FREE SEATING
To avoid accidents caused by Life-Threatening Allergies, HR teacher carefully considers seating for those children with Life-Threatening Food Allergies during the SNACK TIME / LUNCH. Also, we ask parents and guardians of children who have Life Threatening Food Allergies to be present at the SNACK TIME / LUNCH. 

4. Teachers and school staff do not administer any medical treatments. 

5. The school makes every possible effort to contact with parents and emergency contacts in case of emergency and to make a necessary arrangement to transport your child to an emergency care facility by ambulance. Transportation costs will be the responsibility of parents and guardians.
