NOTIFYING YOUR CHILD’S ABSENCE AND HOW TO RECEIVE HOMEWORK

posted Apr 13, 2018, 8:24 AM by Hiromi Takahashi
1. When you know your child will be absent ahead of time, please notify your child’s homeroom teacher. (You do not need to notify the school office.)
-Your homeroom teacher’s contact information can be found at the top of your child’s class list handed out on the first day of the school year.
-If you need to notify the school of your child’s absence on the day of the school due to illness etc., please call the school office at MHS by phone (781-395-9602) between 7:45 and 8:00. If the answering machine answers your call, please leave your child’s grade, class, name, the reason of missing school and how to receive homework. Please note our Arlington Office is closed on Saturday.

2. Ways to receive homework
(1) Your child’s homework can be received by mail, if you leave a self-addressed stamped envelope with your child’s homeroom teacher ahead of time.
(2) Your child’s homework may be picked up at your child’s homeroom by you or a designated person chosen by you on the day of your child’s absence.
(3) Your child’s homework will be handed to your child upon your child’s return to the school if no directions were given at the notification of your child’s absence to the school.
