Online Teleconferencing Considerations


・Do not forward the file / folder-sharing / teleconferencing invite links.

・Do not take photos of the monitor screen or screen-captures.

・Please use identifiable names when entering Zoom-based meetings.


We have been seeing unidentifiable names/nicknames being used prior to joining Zoom online classes. This somewhat defeats the security reasons for using Zoom’s Waiting Room feature.  Please use the student’s full name or at least some identifiable variant prior to connecting with Zoom.  The nickname can be checked and changed by joining a Test Meeting at https://zoom.us/test 


If for some reason you can not change the Zoom settings, please tell your teacher what the expected name is to be in advance.  If you are not granted permission to join the meeting, please contact support@jlsboston.org so that we can assist in resolving the issue.
